Postage & Pickup

ONLINE ORDERS

I'll try to get your books on route to you within 24 hours, same day when possible. Generally, if an order comes in before noon I can get them out same day.

Pickup available in Stoneybatter.
€7 flat rate shipping by AnPost for Ireland & Northern Ireland.

We're taking advantage of some sale stamps while they're available and we'll keep buying them for as long as we can but prices will go up eventually.

We had a great run with An Post's special independent bookstore stamp rates during Covid, please write your TD and tell them to give An Post money! And ask An Post to create a media-mail stamp! Point to their €2.95 indie booksellers pandemic stamp as a wonderful initiative that needs to be expanded upon!

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS

Little Deer Comics is a shop in Ireland for Ireland, so we always encourage you to find your local bookstore or comics bookstore and ask them to import books for you (this encourages more small press comics everywhere!)

But we understand that dealing in out-of-print, hard-to-find and self-published books means that we're often the only shop left with a copy or the closest shop on this side of the Atlantic to stock a book.

We also love being a hub for local comic creators and know we're often their best bet to get their books to customers outside Ireland.

After testing various international flat rates for a few years I've settled on two tiers for every region, based on whether people are buying mini-comics/zines (low page count, staple bound softcovers) or books (high page count, perfect bound books with a spine)

€15 for Scotland, Wales & England (Zines)
€30 for Scotland, Wales & England (Books)

€18 for Europe (Zines)
€36 for Europe (Books)

€20 for America (Zines)
€40 for America (Books)

€22 for Australia (Zines)
€45 for Australia (Books)

If you choose the wrong postage I'll likely send you a link to our support page to cover the difference. If there's a pleasant surprise at the post office I'll try to refund the overage.

This is all based on the assumption that if you're shopping with Little Deer from outside of Ireland it's because there's just a few books you can't find anywhere else, not books you can also buy at your local shop. I sometimes refund customers abroad when they're buying books readily available in their home country and recommend some indie comic shops near them.

I get the desire to support a store you see struggling on social media (goodness knows we need the support!) but often if you're very far away, dropping a few bucks in our tip jar is way more helpful than ordering more books than we can afford to post, especially if those books are ones we've already spent a lot of money on importing to Ireland for Irish customers.
